Julie has a background of providing trauma-informed clinical counselling service. Julie appreciates both the science based psychological interventions as well as the relational framework of psychotherapy. Julie’s clinical approach is strengths-based, recovery oriented and wholistic.
Julie works with young people and adults dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, eating concerns and disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and interpersonal/relationship issues.
Julie can also provide counselling and psychological supports to clients seeking sessions under Work Cover NSW, CTP, and Victims Services NSW. She is an accredited Eating Disorder Mental Health Professional (ANZAED)
Julie aims to support individuals in reaching their counselling/psychotherapy goals, as well as living fulfilling and meaningful lives. With a strong relational framework at the centre, Julie incorporates into her practice cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT) and psychodynamic therapy. Julie believes that professional trust and therapeutic alliance are keys to journeying with clients in their struggles and challenges.
As a second-generation Korean Australian, Julie can provide compassionate care to clients from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. She can provide services in English and Korean. Julie works at Burwood.
